Hello and welcome to the site. Be careful how you love your Opel. And like you I longed for one for a good few years. Can't remember when or where I saw one first. Had mine for nearly 2 years and have had a blast. Good luck on the hunt for a GT, I won't be much use for that but can give lots of moral support.

Puppies are not just for Christmas, I could play with them all year round.

How exciting to hear that you want to fulfill a childhood interest and buy an Opel GT!

It sounds like you're at a good time in your life to take on the challenge of restoration, or to just enjoy a road ready classic. My kids are still young but I'm trying to get my GT on the road nonetheless.

I've been watching e-bay for a couple of years now and every once in a while a real gem will be posted. Distance to the seller may pose a problem, unless the car is in adequate condition to drive a long distance.

Looking forward to hearing more about which car you discover!
