I went to see those GT’s in New Jersey a few years ago. The guy had 36 or so. I drove all the way there from Cincinnati only to find out they were not as good as he lead me to believe, and heinously expensive at that. I wonder what happened to all of them....?

well he vanished 2 months after i bought the car from him..... he was trying to sell the gt i bought for $3500, but my dad talked him down to $2,000.....
the ignition on the car is really wierd...you put the key in and turn it then you have to press this button by the hood latch to turn it on ... it works very well though .. Rock Dan |

Idiot with a GT
|
A couple of months ago, I caught sight of a GT headed north on I-95 near Titusville (FL). It was orange and on a trailer. I can't tell you the date, but I can tell you it was a Thursday around 1:30/2PM since I run to Melbourne on Thursdays.

[quote=GT Tim]I saw a white and primer spotted GT yesterday. It was in S.L.C. on 5600 S and 100 W.I was wondering if they are a member or if I need to go knock on the door?[/quote
I think I know who it is. There is a little off the road automotive repair shop on about 3rd west. Thats where they sent my GT for repair after David Early tires ran the electricity through my GT backwards and fried the electrical system. Can't remember the guys name right off hand, but its an elderly guy and his son. Just give me a moment for my senior moment to pass and I'll remember his name. |

GT spotted in Oklahoma City
I was traveling in Oklahoma City, OK yesterday around 1 PM and spotted a nice looking red GT. The Gt was behind me in light traffic traveling west bound on SW 44th between Walker Ave and Penn Ave.
The gentleman driving was alone and had a head frull of White hair. The car had some fairly wide tires and I noticed the Opel blitz logo on either some nice seats or seat covers. Just wondering if it was someone on this site. |

Opel sighting
I was watching the origional 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds movie on Speed Vision this weekend and there is a GT shown up close and Buick Opel dealership in the background. A very entertaining documentary about the star, stuntman, director and producer of the movie by his widow. It is out on DVD according to the numerous commercials. Lots of cool 74 and older car memories, a must see!!

Gold color manta spotted on Rt. 30 in Vernon, CT yesterday afternoon. Just wondering if it was anyone on the site. I have an apartment about 2 miles from there. I think that was the first time I have ever driven down the road and found an opel coming the other direction, with exception to Carlisle.

Saterday afternoon, I-5 around Roseburg Oregon I spotted 2 pickups with trailers loaded with GT's. Heading south. Looked like the cars were fresh from the berry bushes or field. Funny I was on my way north with a truckload of Manta parts! Just wondering, anyone from the board?
