I think use of the term "unmolested" is at the root of the debate since most posts here have been focused on showing the car is in fact not "unmolested" (does that make it molested )? So, while a better choice of words could have been used, the seller went to great lengths to document the car in pictures IMHO which an unscrupulous salesmen would not do.Finally, I think only a reputable company with a reputation worth preserving would come to the board and try to defend that ad. What other motivation is there? Since "69adamopel" joined this forum back in November, according to his profile, it would appear he was on the forum before this issue erupted. JMTCW Matt

The photos were great and do not hide colour changes etc.which is commendable of the seller. Not everyone is an expert. The car is very well presented and the seller has a point he is not trying to hide anything! The duraguard still bothers me and I doubt nobody came to see the car in four months.Especially an Opel!Regardless this is certainly the guy you want to sell your car!

1969 Opel GT from Las Vegas Autos
This car HAS found a good home.
It is a GREAT car!!!! The area in the front underneath that looks like bondo is because of the battery pan that always used to rust out. I DON'T MIND THAT..... The car runs absolutely WONDERFUL...It has the exhaust rattle which I am planning on having fixed and I am having a new stereo system put into the car. The windshield wipers and foot pedal intermittant button work perfectly. The mileage....WHO CARES AT THIS POINT? IT IS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND GREAT LITTLE CAR... |

My dream
Yes, it is SAD that I have to give up my DREAM "speed racer" car, BUT---I know in my heart that I will have another one some day.
Check out my last one that an ex-husband sold while I was out of state because his transmission went out in his truck...Could be part of the reason he's my EX... ![]() http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/j...000/OpelGT.jpg |
