sadly not for a trip to this years nationals or Charlotte but after seeing the pics from my short break in bulgaria i have to take her there in 13 weeks time

count sits at 2 times right now but the day is only half over lol

the packing went so well marys decided to not go to Bulgaria and spend the year practice packing for next september

so with luck we will be in Charlotte again next fall

i just hope the liquor store has more "blithering idiot" in when we get there

Sorry to hijack your thread, baz, but I have a question. I had started to make plans for my son and I going to Charlotte in sept this year, but now my back infection has kicked in again, and I`ll not be able to travel that soon. The question (for Roy?) is: Isn`t there a Spring Auto Fair too? If so, when is it approx, and how is usually the weather at that time of year? I was thinking to go then, so my son won`t have to wait a whole year.

The 2010 Spring AutoFair in Charlotte is going to held April 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th. As for the weather... It is usually cool in the mornings but warms up nicely during the day. The last few years, there has been rain during the evenings but we are due for some good AutoFair days!

Roy, thank you for offering your help. After having seen the video from last year, my son insists on staying at the Embassy Suites, so that`s most likely what we`ll be doing. I`ll book the hotel as soon as we know for sure we`ll be going.

Baz, he`ll be nine yo, so I think he`s old enough. We`re both interested in nature and wildlife, so this will be a great opportunity to study the owls of North Carolina.

I don't think we can get a "group" rate as we did last year for the simple fact that we won't have as many Opelers there since it isn't a "National" event. It should still be a good show.... The theme for the Fall AutoFair is EUROS...
I will see what I can do though... Do you think if we told them that we would be studying Owls, they would help us out?
