New Restoration Shop in TN

Well, I have gone mad. I have recently been moving all of my equipment and cars into a bigger facility and actually making it official. I left the shop I was working for, and now have combined my Opel Restoration work with general restoration work and body collision repair. Still setting up the shop but I have 8000 sq ft of room to work in. My lift and new paint booth. Working on a second two post lift. I will have an area as you can see already painted to accomidate a maintenance area for stored cars. Lot s of office space and reasonable overhead. I am now legit...ha

We (GA Opelers) are pulling for your success with the new adventure.
We've seen the very nice work that your capable of.
Some might be very nervous about starting a new biz in this economic down turn...to that I say humbug now is the time to lock into a long term lease and take a gamble.
Now I've got another option for quality work to send my customers to.

Also the dyno will be stationed there, and being in town (yes, Cookeville) it is going to be easy to do an Opel Dyno day. I may need to start planning one now, but it is going to be tight right now anyways. We will see. I still will always try to specialize in the Opels, but I have to branch out. But it would be nice to see another shop that holds Opels as preferred customers.

Cool Congratulations!

This is great news Keith - I'm excited for you! I think you're in a good spot in Cookeville being just 4 hours from Atlanta and having the major TN cities nearby. The Opel community just got stronger with you being "legit" now and all! We'll be doing some more things on my GT in the future for sure. Best wishes on a successful venture!

Matt

I totally agree with this, now is the perfect time for people who can deliver quality work at prices their customers can afford to make the move. More and more people are tired of over inflated prices and/or shoddy craftsmanship, if you have the "hunger" to go forward now's the time, not to mention that you yourself will be able to negotiate favourable terms with whomever you do business with on the supplier side, not to mention stuff like the lease on your premises

My guess is that your business will be a success Keith, I for one will be rooting for you from across the pond
