Well, my Opels don't have those. If they go on a GT, then where.
or better yet, are these decals legitimate replacements for Original Opel Decals or just a graphic design recently created?

Hammer me with that one.

They are copies of real Opel/GM decals. If you search some of the European sites you'll sometimes see these used either on web pages, at race tracks or on cars. I believe these decals came out after GM quit importing Opels to the U.S.

That's a little history that is good to know.

As soon as our moderators get back from vacation, I might get some pictures of Opel GT decals approved, that I need, and hopefully Rionart can produce.

Are the following decals in the "others" to be reproduced?

Door Frame Tags - Opel Photo Gallery

Booster Tag - Opel Photo Gallery

Hood Tag - Opel Photo Gallery

These are on the GT. May be on other models.

Not unless someone has unused originals to use as templates.
And double no if OGTS is already doing them.

As for the 'pedigree' of the DOT decals....try googling Dealer Opel Team....

Hey, I'm pedalling as fast as this dial up will let me from the deepest most backwards parts of cottage country in SE Manitoba....Photos are TERRIBLY slow to moderate as they take too much time to load at, let's see, hey, I'm up to 50.6 Kbps, almost TWICE as fast as last night! Heck, if I could afford a cottage in TN, I'd have been done HOURS ago.

BTW, Paul from Arkansas tells me I should be durn happy I'm not in the backwoods of Mississippi. Hey, is that a banjo I hear???

Banjo??? that would be North Georgia

If you want to pick on Arkansas by quoting something from a movie, you should go back to some of the old Burt Reynolds movies or maybe a movie with Billy Bob Thornton in it... Such as Sling Blade.

edit: ........ as quickly post using my lightening fast Cox high speed cable internet connection...

Opel Manta GT/E 1983

Dear Rionart

I have just finished restoring my grandads old 1983 Manta GT/E. It has only done 28k miles on the dash so the rust was a real shame. It is now shiny and white but i am struggling to get hold of the decals for it. You seem like the guy who can help me out. I am looking for the complete set. The opel badge on the front and the GT/E for the front bumper. The MANTA GT/E on both sides with the white and black stripes. Finally Need MANTA GT/E on the back. All in Black.

Would really appreciate any help.

Hello Mark,
Welcome to GT.com!
I sent you a PM thinking you were in London, Ontario...but looking closer I see it's London, England.
You can still get all the original GT/E decals in the UK. I suggest you join the OMOC (Opel Manta Owners Club), you will find a ton of support with them.
HTH,
Rgds, Rob.

I have the OGTS decals for tire pressure, towing eye, and booster on my car. However, OGTS does not sell the under hood decal nor the VIN decal AFAIK. I bought the VIN decal from a guy on eBay. It is the correct wording and he even custom prints your VIN and date of manufacture on it. However, the color is wrong and type of decal is not correct (I believe the original VIN decal was the type that would tear off in small pieces if you attempted to remove it).

I forgot to thank you Robbie, the decals look great. I stuck some of the smaller 'DOT' decals on some PIAA driving light covers, looks almost factory!

Thumbs up All caught up...

Dave and Cliff,
Your decals went in the mail this morning, that's me up to date with orders.

Now, more new decals...
These are aftermarket fun decals I had done:

#5 is a die cut 'Opel Motorsport' available in white for outside and reversed for inside windows (inside was what I had in the rear quarted widows of the Omega at Carlisle), also in black for the outside of lighter coloured cars.

#6 is another die cut, this time it's the 'Got Opel' that the Omega had on it's back window. Outside fitting only and in white, yellow, orange, red, silver and black.

I'll put a couple on the test mule and take some pics later today...

Decal # 5

Number 5 is a die cut "Opel Motorsport" design with the stylised checkered flag.
It is 6" x 2 1/2", and is available in white and black for outside application, and white reversed for inside of windows.
Price for this one is $2.00
Here it is on outside of the rear side window on the test Manta:
