Yep, that looks like I remember. They do a nice job of breaking up the body color, esp. since there's no body trim above the rockers. Too bad you can't get those anymore.

Actually, they can be reproduced. Let me talk to a friend of mine and see what he says. If he can do it, would you be interested in a set ?

as for the rest of you....whatcha waitin' for?....

So far I have recovered about half of the production costs...it's got to get close to break even before I commit any more money into this project...and there are some interesting decals waiting to be reproduced...

My mail is running slow...still haven't seen the latest decals! Either that or they were seized at the border and detained for questioning...

I checked with the Post Office Bob...they said anything going to your address is automatically flagged for extra checking...something to do with 'suspected subversive activities' and 'known links to persons of interest'...whatever that means......

Sure, I would buy a couple sets if they were road quality, I'd imagine they would be popular to other folks on the site with different models. My old stripes were surprisingly durable through a few Chicago winters and actually outlasted the car. Being partially transparent, you'd quickly see problems. Would be nice to have some input or preview of the font and where the marque lines up. My old ones came in longish pieces and I was able to line up "Opel" toward the rear of the door, which looked really good.

Plus, I want some Robbie decals. Somebody point me to the post # where the order instructions are.

A thought...the old stripes had clear sections because that was the cheapest way to make them...if you are going to replicate, do it better and get them die-cut...a much better way to go.

The guy I would be talking to about making these uses a top of the line vinyl, it has a lifetime of 10 (yes ten) years in the weather. He can make it where the "OPEL" part is anywhere you want it.
