Discriminated against !!!!
We had planed to start to notify entries about September 1, but in your case, we regret to inform you that your entry has been rejected. As you know The Renaissance Euro Fest Classic European Auto and Motorcycle Show is met for Classics. The paint on your auto takes it out of the classic category. I sincerely hope you are not offended and understand our intent. Sincerely, Mike Marsh Director My reply: Mike, I am sorry to hear that my car was rejected due to the paint job. I thought that this was to be a all European show. Is my car from a European company? Yes. Is it a classic? Yes, it is more than 30 years old. Is it different from the way it rolled off the line? Yes, it is customized. Are there other that are in the show that have been customized? I do not think the 300TDT on the WEB site is factory original. Should my car have been rejected? No, part of the beauty of cars is that they are varied and express the individuality of the owner. It is the appreciation of that variety that makes collecting and viewing an attraction. Otherwise we would have all followed the path of Mr. Ford and be driving the exact same car that is the exact same color. However, I do understand that this is not an open event, but I was asked to submit an entry. I hope the group re-evaluates it's position. Regardless, for the sake of collector cars, I hope that the show is a success. Sincerely, Henri Fuselier

Wow - they should have made it clearer what the entry criteria was. In any event - your reply is most gracious and you can be proud of that. Some would have been far less diplomatic.

The thing to do is find an unmolested local GT to enter to see if the paint is just an excuse.
Or if you're feeling particularly devious, write them back and tell them that you have decided to enter your other GT. I'm sure you could find a photo.

Wow! Bet it turns out to be a real interesting show.
![]() Even the Pebble Beach Concourse has Rods and Customs. They will only hurt themselves as the word gets around. Btw. Nice paint job on your GT.

Mine is a stock color. The blue light was just placed on the roof for fun!! It is not attached or functional.
