Well, better pictures of the rocker panels and the car overall would help. But, just going by the two pictures posted, I would not go more than $200

Garage
Looks like a nice 69 from the pictures.
There several areas to look at rocker rails, floor pan and so on for rust.
The less rust the more its worth.

The badly installed house carpet is probably hiding something terrible.

There are a lot of GTs in the non-running condition with restoration potential in the $500 range. If it has more than surface rust, it may go to the category of parts car and be worth less. If the chrome and body are good and just surface rust, I'd buy it if I didn't have to pay a lot for towing. It looks like it has chrome or mag wheels. If they can be cleaned that's another plus. Most important thing is to look under the carpet, along the rockers, belly pan and wheel wells for big rust problems.

What's your ball park budget for the car and repairs to make it drivable? It is tempting to look for the best price out there, but in the end, it is usually (read always ) cheaper to buy a car with as much done as possible, within the framework of what you want to spend in total.
Cheers,

Hi...
My first GT was a 68', and I remember having a terrible time dealing with rust, rust, rust,,,and more rust ( in the doors, the floor, belly pan) from the pick it seems to hace a very rusted front belly pan...Also you say it doesnt run, but does it have a complete engine?...
I would pay up to $600, ( no holes in the floor of course!)
Good luck!!

Lil story here.......I was young once a while ago and found an Opel GT sitting all by its lonesome....thought it had potential. Well, it didnt. Wasnt in the position to do a TOTAL restoration. so, bought it for cheap, stripped it down to bare bones,(this is what the Opel learning process is all about, tearing em down). Well, one turned into 5 (yeah, took me a while to figure this out,) But...I had a BOATLOAD of parts! EVENTUALLY....I figured out that I needed to find a DECENT car to start with. This one, unfortunately doesnt seem to be the sort of car to start with. I'd throw a few bucks at the guy and see what he says.....DONT expect that car to be the "one". Save your dough and get a clean one, it'll save you time and frustration in the long run.
