I was high bidder for a while, but then I thought about what it would really take to fix it up and decided to pass on it. It's only 60 miles away so my opelitius flared up...feeling better now.

Except for the single 1-barrel carb manifold used on the 11SR? engine! Everything else looks correct from the pics, though I can't tell definitively if the exhaust manifold is dual-port outlet or not.

This is a beautiful car! My Rallye also had been switched to a single carb when I bought it but it's no big deal to correct. Over the last 40 some years a PO just found it was easier to throw on a single carb rather than replace/rebuild a twin set up, that's all. The red 67 is incredibly complete and original. Also noted the "wood" split spoke steering wheel is not present on the car. Is that a reverb..verb...verb...verb... unit attached to the left of the center rallye guage console? Floor and trunk floor especially look super solid. Lots of the old Kadetts that have sat the trunk rubber dries out allowing water to leak in and the trunk floor goes. Dash and guages look super (I have been looking for a factory fog light switch like the original shown on this car). Dash pad is toast and can be tricky to find a good one or maybe someone can fabricate one from fiberglass. It is made completely of foam with just the metal retainers molded in. This car is a diamond in the rough and expect it will go for between $2000-$2500. I thought just for a second of bidding on it for some of the hard to find parts (hood washer nozzle, rear view mirror bracket, fog light switch, center console/guage set up etc), but it is way to nice to part out. When this car gets redone it will look awesome in a fresh coat of red paint with flat black hood and stripes. Good luck to the lucky winner!

I don't know if it is worth 2-2500. Don had a red one with many things done to it, including interior, mechanical, and fuel system reworked and he got around 3K for it. It looks like it is bringing a fair amount though for how it is stored.

I'd LOVE to get this car - I'm ready, willing, and able to buy, but there is a very real possibility that a title will be impossible to get for it. The seller is going to need to show he's the legal owner, perhaps by a bill of sale, or by showing he's the legal heir, etc.

Unfortunately, I'm told a buyer cannot apply for a lost title (which makes perfect sense).

A buyer can not apply for a lost title, but there are ways in most states to get a valid title where none can be found. In IL it cost me an extra $200, for an appraisal and a bond of 1.5 times the appraised value, and required about six months to get the title. Bill

Here in GA, all you need is a BOS (it can even be hand written) proof of insurance, and verify the VIN and you can get a tag and reciept for the car.
