    That is not an Ascona but a "C" type Kadett
    Built year 1971? no way the "C" type Kadett was built from 1973 - 1979
    Opel Ascona;
    Only built from 1970 - 1975

    Understeer: The front of the car hits the wall,
    Oversteer: The rear of the car hits the wall,
    Horsepower: How fast the car hits the wall,
    Torque: How far the car pushes the wall.

    I like some of the owner's ideas, I can get used to some of the other things he has done, but, those side pipes HAVE TO go.....

    According to the turn signal location, it is a Kadett "C2" from 1978 or 79.

    There was an article in the 11/2011 issue of the German "Flash - Opel Scene" magazine about the red "Bulls Eye" Sportwagon. The car seems to be known in the German Opel world.

    I've always liked the "City" and have thought about using it as a base for a Vauxhall Chevette HS replica/restomod thingy. A 2.5 (or bigger) stroker engine, 5 speed and a 4 link rear end, just to be a little different and stand out from the hoard of 2.0 16v converted coupes and sedans you find at Opel meets here.

    Or maybe go for a full blown HSR replica in yellow "Adrews heat for hire" livery ....
