Welcome to the community, and welcome to the GA Opelers. If you have time, this weekend we're having a picnic/meet at Red Top Mountain State Park. Check out this thread for details. http://www.opelgt.com/forums/georgia...meet-menu.html |

Welcome Steven! I was just in Blairsville a few weeks back on the way to Hiawassee. Nice area and it'll be great for driving your "new" Opel GT on some twisty roads when you get it!

Hello and salutations
Welcome to our madness!
I don't know what it is about these little cars but they do seem to adopt people easily. Like you, I had my first Opel GT when I was in high school. Lots of my friends used to laugh at me because of the lack of horsepower so I traded the Opel for a 1967 Mustang Shelby. In '88 I took over a restoration shop and there was a '72 Opel in the yard which had been abandoned by the owner. Needles to say, I restored the car and gave it a bit of horsepower. Since then, I have owned several and can't see my way without one. Welcome and I hope to see you Saturday. |

It'll be a shame that I won't be able to meet our new enthusiast. The GA group is probably the most active group on the boards, so we'll get you in a GT soon enough and I'll meet you.
