We meet at my house at 8am, and then drive over as a group at 8:30, that way we can be lined up as a group, the actual show starts at 9am, but, cars filter in all morning. As for teaching Dieter how to cook, unless you make some hell-lious BBQ and ribs, Dieter has you beat!!

Damn, guess what: I'm going to spend the first weekend of May in Germany - including the week before and the week after...
I'm sorry guys, no free lunch this time, but I'm planning to make it good: As soon as my pool/landscaping project is done, I wanna invite all Opelers to another Newnan-meeting. I'm planning on having that in the area of June/July. The trip to Carlisle is not in danger. I have approved vacation on TH & FR, and nobody will take that away from me. Enjoy the meeting! Dieter |

Good News/Bad news
Looks like I might make it to the show, but for the wrong reasons, and without my GT... Tax season hit me bad this year and though I had wanted to donate alot of my extra parts to the site, looks like I'll be needing to sell them to save from selling my GT. Alot of extra parts, including complete A/C, rotors, and other misc parts.
I look forward to meeting some of the great members of this site (esp Gene, ty for all your help over the last 2 years) and attending my first Opel event. |

Gene,
Right now, I plan to come. As you know things could change. But I will go ahead and send in my registration. What do you want us to put down for the "Club Affiliation"? I am assuming you want us to simply mail this to Rick Kamen. |

I don't think it matters as to if the towed car is tagged or not, as this is a common way of moving disabled or extra cars about. Dieter brought his Kadett in one year on a trailer, but, I don't think he even has it tagged. |

Thank goodness for spring/summer car shows
With <11 days till the Orphan show I can finally put down the body tools. It's time to clean, clean, clean instead of sand, sand, sand The girl is not perfect but what the hay...after one year of work it does not look like I've made any headway. After the May 5th. date theres a car show-open house at my place of work On the 12th. located just across the speedway (AMS). There's usually 30-50 American Muscle cars in attendance with only one Opel GT this year. So sad |

Time is NOT on my side for the Orphan car show.
There is just to much to do and no time to do it. I tell myself "I own an old car" "I own an old car" With that said I could have bought an unknown Opel GT for 5 grand. Right now I've got over 3 grand in the new engine alone. I own an Antique car I own an Antique car Good thing this is a hobby and I don't depend on selling used cars for a living
