Steering column interchange

Any issues wiring or otherwise in using a later model Opel GT steering column in a 1970 Opel GT? I don't see any problems with it bolting right in but have not checked the wiring diagrams to see if there might be some minor changes that would need to be addressed. Thanks for your help. Gordy

Should be plug and play. You might have the option to add the key buzzer, that alone is enough reason to change. I'm not sure what year it was added but AFAIK they're the same otherwise.
