Unanswered: red wire question

So there are two big red wires, one has stripes, that go from the car to the amp/ oil psi gauge on the instrument panel. Which of the two terminals on the backside of the gauge does each wire go to? one terminal is marked +b and the other is marked +L. thank you!

I remember it as "white on the right" meaning the wire with the white strip goes on the right side as you are looking at the back of the gauge. The wiring diagram I have, though, says red/white is +B.

"+B" means "Battery" and is the red w/ white stripe (connects via the fuse box to the starter and then to the battery). "+L" means "Load" and is the red wire, and connects (via the fuse box) to the alternator and the load.

Ok thank you... my original opel manual has a horrible wiring diagram! so here's a tricky one... there is a thick black wire going to the back of the cigarette lighter... appears to be a power because it has a rubber cover and the other wire is ground. That wire splits, and the split power wire is obviously supposed to go to something... I have a free terminal on the backside of the fan switch and the bulb to the flasher switch. Which one does it go to? thank you!

p.s.
I HATE WIRING

... from the wiring diagram

This is a zoom in of the wiring diagram. That Black wire does go from the lighter to the flasher switch.
