Sounds like you have a bad ground connection in your controlboard ...
Looks like that ... Renew the wireharness, the cabels are just old. Or try to get some extra ground connection, for ex. the speedmeter to carbody ...

Raining, you say....
I once had a small leak in the corner of my GT windshield. In the rain, it would drip on my left leg. Once, while driving in the rain it shorted out the whole car... dead. You might have something similar going on.

Yes, actually I think I have to do both The wiring in the control panel and the alternator upgrade, I had some issues in the past with some switches and I put it in the back burner; and I do have the original alternator, so is time. Thanks for taking the time.
