Bo, a couple of things that may help. Check out your local auto electric shop and see if they have the spade lug terminals that will work and lock in the connectors. Take a male and female with you for comparison. Or, Just use what you've got and get some butt connectors and solder the new wires to the connector pig tails. I do believe there is enuff room in the fuse box for that. On willit? I'm using the original connectors, they still work fine, but I'm using terminal strips to connect the additional wires as I integrate all the different wires into one huge harness. HTH.

locking terminals
hey, i also had a problem finding those certain terminals. I looked everyware for a male terminal with a locking tab that i could use in those plugs in my 72 gt. The po really did a number on the wiring!
I searcfhed the internet for what seemed like an eternity and found that a company in canada called german supply sold male terminals with a locking tab. the exact kind i was looking for. the websight is German Supply :: Parts for Volkswagen Cars<meta name="keywords" content="vw,volkswagen, volkswagon, bus, bug, beetle,k ombi,type1,type2,vanagon,split,bay,parts,canada,"> <meta name="description" content="germansupply.com is in the business of supplying ne they are pretty cheap but if you live in the USA you have to spend a certain amount to get them to ship them to you. |

terminals
Try terminal supply company, they have an online catalog that helps. These are called flag style terminals, or solderless. You will also need a special crimping tool also. Check your GM dealer, they usually have a Delphi terminal kit, and it will have some of the standard connectors. You won't find anything like the original plastic connectors, or some of the weird terminal ends. Also Dell City carried these terminals I believe????
