Unanswered: Dash panel outline????

Does anyone out there have a dash panel outline I could get? I would need one that is the exact actual size with the instrument cutouts and all that.

I am basically trying to make my own out of pretty wood like I have seen on a few GT's.

BTW, I am going to see my 71GT on Monday to see the progress on the body work. I have already been warned that it is in pieces and they have started the sanding so it is not a pretty thang right now. Pics will be posted.

Well the fact that they are sanding is a good thing! I love body work for the fact that you can slowly see the car take shape. And when it's time for that first coat of primer, seeing the car in 1 color again, with no rust or dents.. really gives you a good feeling!

Anyway, I have a cluster that I just pulled out of my 1970. I could get an outline for you.. but not sure how you would want to work this..

Yeah, I am just very fortunate to have the body and paint being done for just the cost of materials. I may have a good cry when it is all done.

I guess with the outline just get a big piece of paper, lay it face down and do the outline. If the instruments are out that would be great and I can just reverse the sucker. If that works out that would be primo.

I will go check it out tomorrow morning and see if I can figure out a way to trace it. Do you just need the outline, or screw holes and such also?

Anything that you can outline without getting too nuts would be great. All the holes etc...but again I think that the most important part is just the outside outline. If it's just that....groovy.

Thanks man!
