Unanswered: Little pleasures in life!

Just recieved my NOS 1967 Opel Kadett light and heater control switches from Jim at USA Opel for the recently purchased Kadett Rallye. The insturment panel in the car was rough so I am redoing one to go in the car when the time is right. My wife got sick of me asking her how many of these in the world do you think there are as I danced around the house with the NOS switches! ...or maybe it just doesn't take much to excite me!
Interesting thing on the 1967.... the sales brochure shows the light switches in the upper cut out and the heater controls in the lower cut out, which is the way I think I have always seen them (at least in the later model Kadetts). The 1967 FSM in the insturment panel section shows the heater control in the upper with the light switches down below. My first thought was they were interchangable and could go either way. But no, the angles of the dash and the mounting tabs on the switch itself allows for the switch going only where it is supposed to go, above or below. After recieving the switches, as shown in the factory service manual is the only way the switches can be installed. Interesting....
For what it's worth, the difference between early and later model (68 on) other than the fact that you can only mount 1 in the lower and the newer ones in the upper, is the early 67 had only a single speed wiper toggle switch that is basically either on or off, where the later had the 2 speed. Thus the back of the wiper switch had 2 additional posts for the wiper wiring on later model switches.
Next step is to address the rubber/ weather stripping issues on the car. Calf. sun is brutal on rubber parts!
