Unanswered: window surround
surround stuck in. Got a roll from OGTS and the tool to install. Ends up the tool wasn't needed, a small screwdriver and patience got it all in. I couldn't figure out how to use the tool anyway. It really finishes the look. The old stuff had turned a nice shade of brown and came out a lot easier than the new stuff went in. Only had one finishing clip so cut it in half to have a clip for both front and rear. |

have a bucket of soapy water handy to use as a lubricant as you use the tool and it should go smoothly. I think the tool saves stress on the window gasket because it is a smooth continuous spreading rather than the choppy spreading caused with a screw driver. Just my .02 worth.

I used the soapy water and I found it necessary. But still scraped the top of the strip. So I resorted to using fingers and a semi pointed/roundec handle to a paint brush. Never damaged it from there on. Some day I too will have to replace mine due to the few places the the tool marks were left.

When I brought the tool and the strip to the shop that I had install my windows the guy looked at it kinda funny, bottom line was that they did not use the tool.
