Unanswered: Koni's for a Manta / Ascona

It has probably been posted before but the cross reference for front shocks are the same as Fiat 124 1980. They have the same part number but they are so old no one bothers to say they fit an Opel. I just bought Koni's for my 1975 1900 and they work really well adjusted one up from softest.

I didn’t look for Koni's for the rear. I found new non-adjustable Gabriel Red Ryder Gas for $7 each on EBay. They work fine on the rear.

The front KYB's were going to run about $50 so I spent a little extra on the Koni's.

Arent the yellow koni's the "sport" type and normally used for autoxing and not the most desirable for street applications? At least its that way for the GT's ..........i think...if I remember correctly. Then again you might be rallying for all I know.

The yellows are cool for the street. They have five positions. Full hard might be too much. I have mine one off of full soft and it feels stock as far as the ride. The dampening is near perfect. On the Fiats Red is the track shock I believe.

I researched on the Fiat forum before my purchase.
