Unanswered: KYB shock adapter kit

I'm not having any luck finding a source that isn't backordered on the 104 KYB adapter kit for installing the KYB shocks to the front on my 1970 GT 1.9. Anyone have a set or know where I could order without an indefinate wait? Thanks

PS- these are the small bushing type pieces that go on either side of the lower shock mount that the lower attaching bolt goes thru.

Try Custom Spares. If Stuart doesn't have them, they're probably not available!

Have you really tried to find those? A simple call or email to an Opel retailer, would inform you that there's an abundant supply that's currently available.

Gordy,
Just as an FYI (since I know you already bought your adapter kit), today I found this kit at my local Baxter Auto Parts (with only a one day delay to get it from their local warehouse). It's about $23.00 for the kit, w/ no shipping charges, so it comes out prettty comparably priced to the online sites I've seen it at. By the way, I wasn't sure whether it takes one kit per shock or one kit takes care of both front shocks (for a '73 GT, in my case), so I ordered 2 ,just to be sure (they won't make me buy both if I only need one of them).

Good to hear you found the shim kit.

But I'm still blown away you guys spend time hunting down parts/sources and wondering if you need one kit or two.

Within ten minutes I called Opel GT Source last week, ordered the KYB shocks, ordered the Shim kit (one kit contained all four shims) and UPS delivered it to my door step the next day.

The thing is; it didn't enter my mind to even consider I would get a wrong part from them, or if I needed to order one shim kit or two. Convenience, speed, peace of mind, and reliability sold me long ago - I've given up hunting for parts that are easily obtainable with a single telephone call.
