Unanswered: Sway bar questions

Does anyone (Bob) know how sway bars are "rated?" I would like to get a bit stiffer ones for both the front and rear of the Kadett, but I really don't know how to go about doing it.

The local spring shop said they could duplicate the existing shape of the bars in almost any diameter of the same bar they use for coil springs, but that they really didn't know how to ensure the spring rate for something like that. I have no clue, and before I have them make me a new bar in, say, the 5/8" spring bar I figured I should get some advice.

Why not just get the bars from Addco?

Another option would be to go with a company that knows what they are doing when it comes to sway bars. For example http://www.sanerperffab.com/prod01.htm
