If you can find the drums for a lesser cost by all means, go for it. They may be available at your local autp parts store, or on line too. I ordered an MC on line, then found out it was unavailable, called OGTS, and they didn't have one either, but offered to send me a used one with a rebuild kit. I'm driving now, almost, because of the dedicated Opel parts dealers, so yeah, I'll pay their price to get on the road and not have to wait for a maybe.
Bob, I wasn't aware of the price differential on the front and rears, and as usual you have some insight into problems we encounter. Thanx. |

This is Jim M owner of USA Opel and we had a conversation today. I offered you the aftermarket drums and the OEM reconditioned drums at a very reasonable prices and you refused to order them. If Opel owners do not support the Opel parts suppliers now they may be gone tomorrow then it will be even harder to find parts. BTW you get what you pay for and sometimes CHEAP is not the way to go especially with brakes and risking your life to save a buck or two. Sorry if we seem harsh but that is the reality of owning an Opel. Try buying Mercedes Benz drums or BMW's then compare those prices to Opel. For an obsolete German import our Opel parts are very low in cost comparatively speaking
