Unanswered: No brakes??

72 GT. My brakes have been almost entirely nonexistent for the last two months, and I can't figure out why. I don't even know where the little stopping power I have is coming from. I've replaced the booster(which needed to be replaced badly), bled three different times, taken apart the master cylinder, put everything back together, and still no clue why they're bad. The seals in the master cylinder aren't rotten, and there was no crud inside, and nothing is pitted. I've hit a road block! There are no leaks, that I can tell. I've run out of things to check. Help!

Have you tried adjusting the rear brakes? Another thing to check is the adjustment on the rod from the brake pedal to the booster. How is your pedal travel? How old are the rubber brake hoses? They have been known to restrict fluid flow when they deteriorate internally.

Is the pedal hard or traveling to the floor, that info will give us more to go on.

Bleeding

When you bleed your brakes is the flow of fluid slow, moderate, or fast(with the bleeder opened at least half a turn)? If pumping the brakes during the bleeding process does the pedal go down quickly or very slow?(again with bleeder opened at half turn.
If the fluid flow is slow and minimum or the pedal travel while bleeding is hard to press down and travel is slow; while bleeding the rear brakes (99% chance the rubber hose between the rear end and body has collapsed, needs to be replaced). When bleeding either the front right or front left: If the fluid flow is slow and minimum or the pedal travel while bleeding is hard to prees down and trave is slow at either location the hose has probably collapsed and needs to be replaced.
If replacing a hose on the front I would recommend you replace both hoses on the front. If just the rear then do just the rear.
Last week had this problem with my 68 Kadett, so I installed all new hoses, when I picked them up at the parts store I checked the hoses to verify they where correct. Which they were, but in looking at them all three are the same length, same 'DOT' requirement, diameter, but the front hoses where each $3.00 more than the rear, pointed this out to the counter person and said I would take 3 rear hoses only,as they where cheaper and that there was no difference between front and rear other than part number and price. They reluctantly agreed and refunded me the difference.
