Unanswered: Dual Master Cylinder
Is there any way for me to convert my single resevoir master on my 64 Kadett to a dual (did 65 come with a dual will it bolt up) someone here must have done it. Just wondering since brakes are job one for me and I never trusted the suicide masters.

Yep!
Use the twin circuit Master cyl (as you say - it bolts up) and divide up the brake lines - front pair to front port (use a Tee) and rear line to rear port.
Perfect opportunity to replace your old, rusty lines from front to back. No liability expressed or implied - Advice is worth what you pay for it! |

You should be able to use the MC for any of the Kadetts up to '71, just make suer you get one for 4-wheel drum brakes and not for disc/drum.

We shall see how it goes.
Added fluid to it today, bench bled the single resevoir master on the car then reconnected the lines and added fluid and it takes the fluid gets some pedal feel even without bleeding any wheel cylinders and holds the fluid in, so I ordered the dual resevoir today so I'll get it all installed and setup here in the coming month. thanks for the help |
