Unanswered: Caliper sizes???
Okay, starting to wonder how many caliper piston sizes Opel used on US imported cars. I count 4 now
1 Manta 75 models and 1900s 2 GT 3 Kadett 1.9 and GT 1.1 4 Kadett 66-67 Are there any others? The 66-67 measured slightly smaller than the later 1.1 and Kadett 1.9 pistons, from NOS parts I've had, but now really wondering. Keith |

From my experience:
The Kadett 1.1L caliper is the same as the GT 1.1l caliper and is smaller in diameter than the 1.9L calipers. The Kadett 1.9L caliper is the same diameter as the GT 1.9L caliper which is the same diameter as the 1900/Ascona/Mantas. The early Kadett B used a smaller diameter caliper that doesn't directly interchange with the rest. |

Kadett Calipers
I assumed the Kadett 1.9 Calipers were the same as a GT with 1.9 as well. But guess what, they are NOT!!!!!
Found out the hard way this weekend when I started disassembly of them. Turns out they are the same part number as a 1.1 GT, as my new seal kits were way too big. I will put the GT ones on it due to the seals I ordered. But you might want to check again as well. I am learning quickly that the Kadett and the GT share less and less in common.Keith |
