Unanswered: Emergency Brake Cable
I realize all of this can be resolved by ordering the newer style emergency brake cable... but that would be another $66 plus tax, and shipping, and labor to install. |

There may be a possibility that your local auto parts store has the earlier rear brake shoes in their system and can be obtained. It doesn't hurt to try. Then again if you get the newer cable, then you can always use the newer style shoes, or the old style if you keep your old cable.

Actually, you can swap out the arms that the cable attaches to, there's just a simple horseshoe clip that can be straightened a little and popped off, then you just swap the arms.

How about removing the rivet on the new shoe to release the lever and then inserting the original arm with the post and clip?
