Unanswered: Ascona brake booster

Well i finally got my booster off the car. when i removed the MC i found about a pint of very dark brake fluid inside the booster. might be a stretch but i betting that is not standard operating procedure. so....is there a place that rebuilds these things around here or does anybody know where to get another one. the usual parts supplies don't show one available. considering this one was the original, i'm not about to trust it anymore.

Try here! You will want to replace the MC at the same time, it's leaking!

Thanks for the link, that looks very promising. and i'm already on the MC, got a rebuild kit for it and a new wheel cylinder. need to get one more and hopefully get it all together. not sure how i will react to having a good firm pedal again and not hear the RPM's change when i do hit the brakes.

Careful

The 1975 Booster is not the same as the previous years and this company is lumping them all in the same basket
Might get the wrong part from Brake Warehouse
Try a real Opel company who sells Opel parts exclusively
$160.00 is a good price though if it is the right part remanufactured right

It is true the MC is leaking fluid into the booster replacing the inner seals should solve that problem

Could be a superseded part #. They have a 800 number to call. Shipping is free for over $150.00. Just for a heads up, Auto Zone gets some of their parts from this company.
George.
