Gasket Sealant

I have been putting that gooey stuff on the gaskets when installing parts, but now alls I have got left really is the head. Should I put it on the head gasket or no?

Use Permatex Copper Gasket spray on the head gasket. You must use a specialized product on Head Gaskets! Don't use too much or "Goo" will run down the bores and gum up the rings ..........

I think a lot of modern head gaskets have some kind of coating on them already, so you can just install them bare (no goo!). The newer ones also claim you never have to re-torque them, but I always do.
