O.K. Joe, not wanting to be harsh, but to get you on the right track, I'll ask that you use the seach button on the top menu line, or go to the engine performance forum on the site. I can just about gurarantee you, the answer is there, probably with a lot more info than you want. Before you go off in a huff, let me explain that with over 10 million hits on this site, your question and thousands of other questions have been answered to the point that some members just get tired of answering the same question time after time. I think you'll find that your answer is in either of those areas, and if you don't get the answer you're after by all means ask away, but in the correct forum, please.

Welcome aboard, Joe. As suggested, study this site's forums, and use the search feature. I think any question you can ponder is answered in there, and any wild new ideas you may have were, surprisingly, already discussed in such incredible detail... believe me, we've seen and heard it all. And are willing to go to similar lengths with the next one!
Personally, the only real irritation to me is when people are worried about what things cost. Everything costs a lot. Especially when they haven't a pot to pee in and have no business starting an expensive new hobby. We can put a 426 Hemi in a GT, no problem, but not for under $100.... A lot of what goes on here is what I call vehicular masturbation, it isn't real, but it's fun fantasy and gets into great humor at times! So please do be patient with our fellow member's occasional sarcasm and humor. None of are here to meet new enemies, just make new friends and keep Opels alive.

http://www.opelgt.com/forums/opel-en...modifications/ (where this thread might better be placed ) since what you may want may be more readily achieved by other means than simply making more displacement.
