HI Richard,
Look in the yellow pages under mechanics, foreign cars specialists, and you should be able to locate a mechanic that can work on the Opel engine. Any company specializing in German cars should be able to help you out. You can also check them out with the Better Business Bureau to make sure they are honest people to work with. Good luck. Sounds like a major valve job is in your future.

Could try "Carlos" Automotive in San Pedro (LA Harbor)
Carlos is my neighbor and just started his own business. He has been a german car mechanic for 30 years and mostly is VWs and Mercedes, but occasionally works on others. He has helped me with my two opels on several occasions and is soon going to be rebuilding the front end in my sportwagon.
Carols shop is on Pacific Ave around second street. I dont know of any others in the area although I have heard rumors of a 'underground garage' in the area with a small collection of opels. Supposedly this shop only works on opels. I havent been able to find it. Good luck! |
