Unanswered: bent valves

Hello again listers,
Trying to find out the make of the valves used in my 2.0 head.
The intake valves bent in a close encounter with the pistons.
The head was put together by Bob at TSGI about 5 years ago.
Measuring 45mm, 1.77" across the head. I know there's a lot of
other variables but I don't have the valves with me at the moment.
The machine shop has a big book 'o valves and find nothing
comparable. They did find one but the keeper gap was lower on
the stem than the gap on the bent valve.
I've already written Bob at TGSI but figure I'll put it out to the
rest of the clan too.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Don.

If the stem diameter of the valves is the same as a stock Opel (9 mm), then he simply used stock 2.2 or 2.4 European Opel intake valves. Call OGTS, they may have some.

Bent valve

Call Opel gt Source and talk to Dennis or Gil, I'm sure they can help you with the ID of those valves and may even have some in stock.

valve to piston clearance

When you get the valves..clay it up you'll need atleast .100 clearance.
This is where I had the most problems with the small stem valve head.

Valves ...

I think TGSI used to get valves specifically machined for him.
If they are 11/32" stems then they have probably been made from SB Chevy 1.94" Intake blanks. You can probably get by with machined down Chevy valves quite well.
