i dont know much about your astra but, if im not mistaken that car is produced by GM. being a 1992 it should have obd 1 . have you looked up fault codes in say a haynes manual. all gm obd codes are almost universal for all models. if it is obd1 you know you can jump terminals a and b on the diagnostic connector to retreive fault codes. the service engine soon light will flash this sequence: once..pause... twice...pause . it will do this three times and then flash a sequence for the fault such as 3 flashes a pause then four flashes. this is code 34 then look up code 34 in repair manual.
give me some more details, maybe i can help you further |

Peep,
Welcome to the group. Unfortunately, most of the folks here have not seen an Opel from 1992. I think that some of the members from Europe maybe able to answer your question. Now if you have a question on an Opel from 1966 to 1975, you will get a lot of help.
