Unanswered: dbilas camshaft
On my 2.0S engine with hydraulic lifters I installed a dbilas "rally" camshaft (see photo of the leaflet) but the power is weak (about 100 hp on Gtech). The compression ratio is 10.4:1 (I know it should be higher but the pistons are stock). Can this be the problem? Has anyone any helpful experience? The timing is OK, the engine is idling (too) smooth. The power measuring was made with twin 45 Webers (very hard to find the good jeting, nothing to do with usual theory - 150 fuel with 195 air, it was misfiring badly, I ran best on 160 fuel and 170 air). I tried also 40 Webers and now I'm running with Bosch LE Jetronic (Rekord 2.2) - a little better, no misfires over 3000 rpm, but still a little bit white candles and weak power. Thanks!

Cam problem
Too much duration, not enough lift. To much fuel with Webers for compresstion ratio. CIH likes to open the valve around .500 and not keep it open that long. Best I think is split duration with the exhaust on the long side like 282/288 on 110 degree lobe center degreed at 4 degrees BTDC. If it was mine I would try a Weber 38 down draft of a 40 down draft.
