Connecting Rod Question

I planning to start my 1.9 EFI upgrade project soon. Putting in flat tops for a little better compression. Can someone tell me if forged connecting rods from an earlier 1.9 are interchangeable with the cast rods of 1975? Are the dimensions the same?

Thanks Bob - I knew you'd know. Got several older engines around and I'd like to use the best components I can.
