Help Please

Son's 69 Opel GT went to crank tonight ,, Heard a loud POP, now when engine cranks runs at 4000 rpm when you try to kick throttle down car dies... Where do we start and any ideas what is wrong ... Thanks

sounds like a backfire in the carb...i would start there and see whats up with it...

Take a look at the carb.
