hoses

The big hose running out of the valve cover goes to the air-cleaner, it is your engine vent. As us old times call it, it is your blow-by or road draft tube.

how about doing a search and getting the answers from the oh 12 or 15 threads about this for hose positions theres even a post in the photo tech gallery about it
and the white gunk in the hose is an emulsion of oil and water

just remember:

the time it took to you to write out 'search for it' was how much time it took the other guy to say : this one goes here, that one goes there.

i would have.

you type in 'hoses' and see how much gunk you have to sift through to find what you're looking for. in fact, i don't even know what these hoses are called *even now*. so 'hoses' would be all i could hunt for. since i was on a 210 mile trip today in the opel *Farther by 190 miles than any trip in it so far* i wanted a quick and simple answer. and thanks to the other guy (can't remember the screen name off hand) i got it. and the trip went well.

*shakes his head*

love your sarcasm tho. very touching.

EDIT: in an non-sarcastic ways however, thanks for the confirmation on the 'gunk' in the line.

just remember :
in the time you took to write that reply i have had to read and sort many posts and do so for 5 hours a day
we tell folks to use the search engine because the 9 or 10 people who have the vast majority of the knowlage on this site get sick to death of having some one ask the same 4 questions time and time again because the people asking hope to get an answer easyer than looking for it themselves this can cause the ones with said knowlage to just pack up and leave the site , something we try to not have happen
it does take some time to learn how best to ask a question and get the best answers to a question but in the time spent doing so they can learn a thing or two , one of which is the right names for things so the search goes quicker next time

btw try a search for vacuum hoses it might make it quicker

ps we blacksmiths should stick together other folks just dont know things like us its not the temp but the colour that counts right , no one likes a cold iron smithy

Paitence little grasshopper- paitence. You must kiss alot of frogs to find the enchanted princess. A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. It doen't matter how fast you run the mile- it's the scenery you see along the way. Are you getting the pic- bro!
