Unanswered: Bellhousing Bolts
P.S Already have back of driveshaft off or i think the book calls it the central joint or something. Just have to take bolts off bellhousing then the trans mounts then the trans is mine!

You can take just the trans out (4 bolts to the bellhousing) then take the bellhousing off, then you can get at all 4 bolts holding the the clutch pack on, then with that out of the way, you can get to the 6 bolts holding the flywheel on.

The trick to getting the top trans to bell housing bolts is to go from inside the car through the shifter opening in the floorpan with a REALLY long extension, I think 20" or more (or piece some shorter ones together). Bell housing bolts, I think - been a while - maybe just need the long extension from underneath the car.
You'll have to have the rear trans mount/crossmember off, letting the engine hang down. A universal joint type adapter will help too. If the engine's not tipped enough to get at the bolts just jack the front of the engine up a bit to tip it further. Make sure the exhaust is disconnected or at least that all the exhaust hangers are unhooked (but support the exhaust in some fashion) to prevent any damage to it. Don |

So your saying the 2 transmission mounts right before the shaft are the mounts i take off thus making the engine tilt and trans tilt some revealing a desirable angle to get to the bolts. If its that simple then I will knock this out easily by tomorrow!
