Unanswered: heater vent boots in dash/where to get them?

can we still buy the connector "boots" used on the end of the vents under the Opel Gt dash?? If so, where? If not, what is everyone using?

Cool

I redid mine a few years back with flexible heater hose from Pep Boys.

I don't remember if it is the same diameter or not, although I believe they may have something close, but a company called Reoriginals makes a similiar product. It is a spiral wound wire covered with canvas and then coated with rubber to make a fresh air intake tube for the Alfa Romeo Guilia's of the early 60's. It's not cheap, but if the size is the same, then it would make a closer to period replacement.

I remember this tube from when I worked on Alfa's and I recall it's similiar, but I'd check the diameter..

I have another hobby, I rebuild player pianos. It just so happens that they run on vacuum and they have very large vacuum supply hoses. I have never checked size, which apparently is 2.5" according to the post above, but if you want to check, the company I used to buy from is, The Player Piano Co., of Whichita, KS. The hoses are made of an almost identicle material.
