Hi Gene, I have one of those that Gil sent me to try out, on loan.
I want to try and get more hose to A/C compressor clutch clearance. How does that thing mount??? I have a passenger side mounted Geo metro compressor, with custom brackets. Gil wants his back so I will buy yours it if I can figure out how it goes and if it will work for my setup! ? Thanks Lyle |

Fitting ...
The 'short' leg attaches to the lower radiator inlet with a short piece of rubber hose (and two hose clips) - the long leg sticks up and hooks in to the standard water pump . Just gives clearance for the wp & a/c belts.
Jim has a picture ....... somewhere! OOPS! Gene is right - I think the hose has just been pushed on to the thermo housing in the picture - it does attach to the water pump .... when installed.

Thanks for the help.
My Geo Metro type compressor mounts below the Opel water pump radiator hose outlet. On a custom alternator type, A/C bracket I made. Very tight clearance, but it does clear! Now I see how the ARA York compressor mounts. This ARA cast aluminum spacer tube will not work for my application. Thanks Lyle |
