Unanswered: windshield defroster

72 GT just had the dash board recovered and looks great. however, when i reinstalled and was positioning my defroster hoses, i noticed that there was nothing to attach the hose to the dash pad. i looked around my garage but didn't see if i had taken off any parts to the pad before i took it to the dash repair place. am i crazy or isn't there a plastic connection attached to the dashpad for the defroster?

No you are not crazy, there are two plastic nozzles that bolt in the slots in the dash board. The defroster ducts attach to those, most of them are not in very good shape if the dash pad was cracked and you may want to try to locate two good ones while you have the dash out.

Mark;
If you're referring to the two curved slots that aim the air at the windshield, there's supposed to be a threaded stud on each end of the opening in the dash, on the back side.
