Unanswered: New Radio Problems

I put my new radio in and hooked it up through the ignition. And I turned it on it blew a fuse. So I put a little bit bigger. i started off with a .5v fuse and i went up to a 2v till it would hold the new radio. But now it just shut off and wont turn back on. And the fuse is fine. What could be the problem?

I hate to say it but the fuse was trying to do its job.My guess is something was not right and as you went up you fried whatever was causing the problem( hopefully not your new radio). Check all grounds then I would run power directly to the radio and see if it will work if not...

I read in a forum a problem like you are having.
That can be cause by a wiring or a conection of a wire o are touch in the body or in another part o makes blow the fuse.
Look all the wires connections.

Sorry my bad english, i need to start practise

I had the problem over thanksgiving...

Is it powering up with no sound? Check all of your speakers for the short. It drove me nuts. Take out each one out separately and unhook it. If the others play, then that's the one. It may be turned in the hole in such a way as to make contact with the body. Hope this helps.
