Unanswered: A/C compressor

what's the diff between a compressor and a compressor clutch? i've got a 72 gt with most of the a/c components, i.e. the system behind the seat and the big honking plastic vent over the transmission tunnel with knobs and everything. all i need i think is a compressor and condenser.

The compressor clutch is what engages or turns off your compressor. The compressor is what compresses the working fluid. The condenser is basically a radiator. It is what removes the heat from the compressed gas so that when it is expanded again it is below the ambient temp.

The compressor clutch is a pulley on the end of the compressor that mechanically connects to the compressor by electro-magnetic means and driven by a belt via the motor
