Unanswered: heater control valve

Do any other models use the same manual heater valve as the Kadett? Anybody found a good substitute from another car? Should be one out there somewhere, VW or something. It doesn't get as cold here in GA as elsewhere, but a little heat would be good if I ever get it driveable. the old valve a solid block of rust, but at least it kept the wasps out of the heater core!

Re: heater control valve

All Opels use manual control valves, each one i configured a little different, but, with a little enginuity, something can be made to work. That is, if you can't find another Kadett one. A GT one might be the same.

Re: heater control valve

No a GT is different. BUT, I have a good one for a Kadett that I would love to trade for a GT valve.

Re: heater control valve

Well, I don't have the GT part, but would you consider trading it for rectangular green paper?
