Thanks so far, will you take a picture of the part attached to the car? It will help us know what bolt out of our coffee cans to use. It will also help clear up #1, lol. Thanks

Yes, very true. But the auto trans versions have wider spacing on the bolt pattern on the transmission. The ones in the picture are from a manual transmission (4-speed).

The information is great however the transmission brace is concerning me because we definitely have an automatic transmission. Can someone tell me what the bolt spacing should be for an automatic transmission brace? Or I can take a close up picture of the braces with a ruler next to them if that will help.

I am sure I can figure out the transmission braces, if they will actually work with this transmission and I am sure I can figure out the battery brace and rear resonator brace but, I would like to see a picture of the tire rack braces if it is not too much trouble.

Thank You,
Joshua

Number 1 is in the very front center underneath the tire shelf between the shelf and the floor pan. In the first picture the bracket is on the far left under the shelf, center line just above the driveshaft tunnel.

Number 4 is in the very rear of the tire shelf and goes between the shelf and the body, it’s one of the pivot points for the spare tire hold down.

The GT manual tranny bell housing brackets and the manta brackets are not the same. If you have a GT and want to put in a Getrag you must get the brackets from a manta 4speed because they fit the Getrag. The manta bolt pattern is closer together than the GT. As far as the auto tranny i have no idea. The ones in the picture though are from a GT 4speed.

New Part to identify

I was working on the Weber again (72 GT 1.9 engine) when I spotted this laying on the motor mount under the carb.

Picture1 is the bracket or heat shield.
Picture2 is the motor mount and the remainder of the part.

My other car does not have one. Any ideas as to what it is??

I'm not sure about your question. The heat shield is an attempt to protect the engine mount near the exhaust head pipe. They are frequently like yours or just left off for various reasons but seem to me to be a good idea.
