I have done a search and looked at as many pics on the site as I could.

I am looking for the pics of the lady owned pink GT with the eyebrows on the headlamps.

Could someone direct me to those pics.

Thankyou Jordan! I was telling my wife about it. Its kind of a 'trick'

as I have to get her really interested in the GT so it will be easier to convince her that we should get one in addition to the Kadett we already have.....

I agree, Baz.

I believe he built that car for her when she was 15 or 16. It is good to see young women involved with Opels!

Thanks Baz, Good to see someone stand up when the guys are getting a little rowdy. Insulting a person's cars and insinuating they should be sent to the crusher after so much work has so obviously been put into them is not cool. We all have different tastes in this world, for if we all liked the same thing this world would be awfully boring.

"most any american car is worthy of the crusher." was an insult to the whole industry, and very not cool man. I have seen many unsalvageable cars go that way in the years I worked in the junk yards, I personally never liked seeing even them go.

I agree. And combined with that color, it is the sweetest little car I have seen in a long, long time. I just have to smile when I see it.

My biggest problem is: My wife would really like to own a pink VW Beetle and I would love to have a GT. Since I already have the 70 Kadett its a tough sell on the GT.

She told me if GT's come in pink I could have one..............hence..........my initial request for the photo.

As mentioned, the pink GT belongs to Dale Chaudiere's daughter, Ashley. Myrna and I met them both at the Tacoma 2004 meet. Odd, I had posted photos of her car at http://www.opelgt.com/photos/showgallery.php/cat/3051 but they seem to be gone now. Anyway, Dale did a very nice job on it, and the "eyelashes" just add a cute touch. Here is a link to a post with some more photos

Vickie, my daughter is going to be 14 this month!
She saw the Pink GT with eye lashes awhile ago, and now wants a GT or a newer VW Bettle done like that.
Great another project..........but a Father/Daughter project could be fun!
Better get started soon, time sure flies by!

You should get her the VW and tell her it is up to her to keep it running. In less than 1 year she will change her mind, then you can get her an Opel. Why do you think they are the "people's car", because it takes a lot of people to keep one of them on the road

They made the engine very easy to remove, why? because you have to remove it to fix anything on it, and you can run over a dime with one and tell if it was heads or tails.

Now is a great time! Keep her busy with Dad and cars and out of the other stuff. It will also make her a more well-rounded and self-sufficent person if she can work on her own cars!

Vickie, sounds like you believe in the same values as me, and the way I was raised, keep them busy and out of trouble!
My daughter is a little mechanical/technical, and will hopefully be self-sufficient like you said!
She is still a girl, but likes science and technology class!
It will be tough for me, when she is "too old" to do things with Dad.

We are going on a road rally this weekend with the GT, she will have to read a map, give me directions and look for check points..........
Can women read a map?
Can men admit they are lost?
We will find out!

Hey, instead of pink GT, how about a Military green, Opel sport wagon, with a rifle rack and tinted windows!?
Then if she sits on the hood, the boys will be afraid to look at her!
Maybe a "Beware: Dad on board" sticker on the window!

I am not ready for the dating years!

Mine or her's!
