Unanswered: 1970 Owner's Manual
Maybe if it's worth it it can be moved to the tech section or something.

It's just the little owner's manual but it has good stuff in it and I thought it would be nice to archive it. It's a really big file, I scanned it at 300dpi just because it is pretty fine print and lower res was fuzzy. Maybe the large file size is making load time so long it stalls? I had a hard time uploading it to a server but it seemed to load alright for me on a web browser. I was thinking if it's worth it, Gary could move to this server and leave it there. Would be nice to OCR it or something, make it digital text (with pictures), so it's searchable and all that. Maybe if I get ambitious or if someone knows an easy way to do that.
I think the problem is the browser trying to load the pdf within itself but it's so large it takes forever (like 15+minutes) On a Mac with Safari it loads alright within the browser XP with IE 7.0 it might have finished loading, I gave up XP with IE 6.0 it downloaded it (took a good 10 minutes) doesn't try to load the pdf within the browser but rather a pop up asks if you want to download it, (much nicer as far as I'm concerned) XP with Firefox it also tries to load within the browser and takes FOREVER I can try to make the file size smaller I guess but if the quality tanks and you can't read it, why bother? Sorry, amateur computer geek here.

I would think compressing the file will help. If not try to upload it to a file sharing service and I will see what I can do with Acrobat Pro. I can either make it a smaller file size, or I can separate it into smaller "chapters.
" p.s. I have a 70 gt without a manual, So I have a personal intrest here.
