Unanswered: GM Emblem on back by window above gas cap.

I just purchased a 69 GT and noticed the GM emblem above the gas cap. Was this only on the 69's. Also the turn signal and headlight dash lights are a rectangle shape as opposed to the round that I have seen on all the others. Was this also a 69 thing? Thanks flippinbruce

Yup. Some '70's had the GM emblem. The '69 also has a button on the end of the turn signal lever for the high beams.

Yes, these were found on 69's and some 70's.

I see you are in Cincinnati. We have several other active Opelers in your area. We also have a very active Northeast Ohio/Western PA group that meets several times a year. Our next meet will be the first weekend in August, here in Tallmadge. I still have to type up an announcement, but we would love to have you join us.

Basically yes to all your questions. I have a 69 GT and it has all those items. Also, the turn signal handle has the hi beam button on the end, the others do not. The 69's also had the driver's widow crank way down low, the others do not.
