Cloth Seats Original or not??

Did the '71 Opel GT ever come with a cloth interior. I know my paint isn't (you can see the chartreuse underneath) but have no idea. The guy who had the car first has passed. The seats look the same as ones without cloth. Also I have noticed that the parts such as the windscreen windows and such are original with German text. I need advice. Since most of the car looks to be the actual parts from the beginning would it be better to return it to that state or "French " it up. Help.

P.S. No offense meant to any francophones.....I am French and we all know what that means when it comes to fast cars.....LOL

The GT never had cloth seats, so, one of the PO's probably had them re-upholstered. By the way you describe it, it sounds like they had someone real good do it. If you can, post some pics.
